Choosing the Pouilly Fumé for the restaurant is one of the more challenging tasks, as it is one of the most requested. And for good reason - a good Pouilly is one of those reliable wines that takes the strain out of choosing what to drink, it is a benchmark, and because of this reliability can easily drift into the 'very expensive' end on a list.
Jean Max Roger needs no introduction as one of the premier winemakers of the Pouilly/Sancerre AOC. Growing and producing in the family since the 1600s, Jean-Max took over their then four hectrare estate in the 1970s and have taken the label to global recognition.
